Making Quests

March 24th , 2010: Making Quests

Year 6 has created two different quest stories and has learned how to use language features of a quest story in order to create the next chapters of this story.

The following criteria were followed:

 

  1. Bullet magical elements (objects, creatures, wizards, dragons, knights, trolls, orcs)

  2. Bullet puzzle to solve/ problem

  3. BulletYou NEED a HERO!

  4. Bullet Characters who tell the Hero about the quest and the reason of this quest

  5. Bullet Clues to find something

  6. Bullet Short sentences: create tension

  7. Bullet Complex sentences: create detailed/exciting description

  8. Bullet powerful adverbs, adjectives, verbs

  9. Bullet Find a person or an object which saves the land

  10. Bullet mythical/ Magical land

The class started by creating a common first chapter. The children came up with great ideas and made it very magical.
