Carnival at the Joppenhof

Already on the Friday before Carnival the party breaks loose in our school. All children come to school dressed up on this Friday morning.

We want to give the parents enough time to dress up their children and therefore the school day will start a little later. Please, check with your class teacher.

At the start of the day there will be an opportunity to admire the magnificent costumes. You will be advised of further details closer to the date.
The aula is decorated by some parents and teachers. The main colours will be red, yellow and green. These are the carnival colours in the south of the Netherlands.

First of all the new Prince and Princess Carnival will be proclaimed 
All groups will present a kind of act: that can be a song or a dance or whatever, you name it.
The staff will also present a special act.
The children who are dressed up most special, can expect a prize. 

After a jointly break in which we eat our sandwiches, we continue our carnival program. The children will dance on the carnival songs.
Our DJ will see to it that all children can enjoy themselves on the songs of this year and the previous years.
At 14.00 the party is over and all children can go home, tired but satisfied.
